All participants are required to take an active role in their recovery journey. This involves attending and engaging in all sessions, while also respecting the processes and healing experiences of fellow program members. Missing two sessions will result in a warning, and three missed sessions will lead to early termination from the program. Participants over the age of ten must complete daily chores, and everyone is expected to contribute to keeping common areas tidy. Family rooms should also be maintained in a clean condition. Outside of sessions, parents are accountable for their children's behavior.
Referrals can be initiated by any professional who is supporting the potential participant and their family members. This includes mental health professionals, NNADAP professionals, Child and Family Services, Social Services, as well as community organizations and advocates.
The OTTER attachment program spans 60 days but can be extended based on requests and available funding. Additionally, we provide ongoing aftercare support to all participants who have graduated from the program.
